As you have probably read, we at Missoma are trying our hardest to offset our carbon footprint, especially during Black Friday week.
Along with our collaboration with TreeSisters, we wanted to try to take little steps in the office to help to environment , which you too can take!
We hope you enjoy reading the below and can somehow incorporate them in your daily office lives!
Step 1 – Using Less Water:
We all know how easy it can be to leave the tap on when doing the washing up after lunch. Now we have expanded the team the washing up line is quite long after meal times! Our new rule is to NOT keep the tap running when doing the washing up.
Step 2 – Light saving!
Our new rule is not turning on the lights in the office until absolutely imperative. This means from the hours of 8am – 4pm we work in the natural light! Unfortunately, as it is winter we cannot work the whole day without the main lights, however we will certainly be continuing this throughout the summer months.
Step 3 – Man and a Van to Recycle!
The London council unfortunately were unable to provide us with more recycling bins during Black Friday, so we at Missoma took matters into our own hands! After hiring a van, we teamed up with Air Tasker who helped us find Alfy our lovely driver who has been making drops to the recycling depot several times throughout the day! No is just a two-letter word!
Step 4 – Reusable water bottles
We have banned daily plastic water bottles in the office which means we are all using reusable water bottles in the Missoma HQ! As you can imagine, some of Love Island fans (ahem Harriet below) have gone for the personalized route!
Step 5 – No Cars Week
Cars have been banned for a week! The only way any of us can get around this new rule is if a broken leg or sprained ankle is brought to the table…
